Chris Harris signs with the Kings Lynn Stars for 2026

Chris Harris will return to King’s Lynn in 2026, with the Stars confirming the British legend as their first team announcement ahead of next season.

The 43-year-old made a big impact during his first year back at the Adrian Flux Arena, once again underlining that age remains no barrier at the top level of the sport. Harris produced a string of eye-catching performances in 2025, including a blistering start to the campaign from reserve and a dramatic near-miss in the British Championship final at Belle Vue.

He also played a key role in King’s Lynn’s memorable KO Cup semi-final victory over Ipswich and thrilled home supporters with a 15-point maximum in a dominant win against Oxford in mid-August. Harris completed the Premiership season with an average of 6.70, reduced to 6.53 for team-building purposes.

Speaking to the King’s Lynn Speedway website, Harris admitted he was pleased to be continuing with the club and is encouraged by the plans being put in place for 2026.

“It’s good to be back. As a rider I don’t like to keep jumping between different clubs, so it’s great to be settled and have a second season at King’s Lynn,” he said.

“I still feel I’ve got unfinished business there after the season we had this year, and I enjoy the track and working with the people there, so it was an easy decision for me.”

Harris added that the club’s ambition was a major factor in his decision, with an exciting-looking team currently taking shape.

“The aim of course is to win the league, and the club are certainly ambitious. The team they’re talking about is very exciting and I’m really looking forward to being a part of it, and hopefully we can fulfil the goals that the club deserve,” he explained.

The popular racer also joked that his son Cruz may be even more popular than he is with the King’s Lynn supporters.

“Cruz is happy with the news as well, I think he’s more popular than I am there! He’s made to feel welcome wherever he goes, and he loves being with me at King’s Lynn,” Harris added via the King’s Lynn Speedway website.

King’s Lynn are continuing to work on their 2026 line-up and expect to release further team news in the near future.
