Jan Kvech returns to Kings Lynn for 2026

King’s Lynn have confirmed that popular Czech racer Jan Kvech will return to the PSH Environmental Stars for the 2026 Premiership season.

The 24-year-old first joined the club midway through the 2024 campaign before going on to spend the full 2025 season at the Adrian Flux Arena, where he quickly became a firm fans’ favourite.

Kvech continues to view racing in the UK as a key part of his development, and he enjoyed a solid 2025 campaign, finishing the season with an average of 6.91.

Some of his standout performances came in derby clashes against local rivals Ipswich. He recorded 18+2 from seven rides at reserve in a 51-39 victory in mid-June, before producing an even more eye-catching display the following month. Riding at No.5 in an injury-hit Stars side, Kvech scored 18+1 as King’s Lynn edged a dramatic 46-44 win, featuring in four of the final six races.

The Czech international has also spent the last two seasons competing at the highest level in the Grand Prix series, and regaining his place through the qualifying routes is expected to be one of his key aims in 2026.

Team manager Rob Lyon was delighted to secure Kvech’s return, telling the King’s Lynn Speedway website: “Having Jan back was a no-brainer for us. He loves being at King’s Lynn, he loves racing in the UK and we’ve got to encourage that.

“Given how much he wanted to be here, he was pretty much nailed-on to be back with us next season.”

Lyon believes the best is still to come from the Czech star. Speaking to the King’s Lynn Speedway website, he added: “Without a shadow of a doubt he could become a top heat-leader for us, and I do expect big things from him.

“He’s had his apprenticeship in British Speedway with a couple of years over here learning the tracks, and hopefully now he’s going to kick on and be that top-end rider that we all know he’s capable of being.”

Kvech joins Chris Harris as a confirmed starter for King’s Lynn in 2026, with the club expecting to announce further team news over the festive period.
