Confident Cook relishes the challenge – Birmingham Brummies

ZACH Cook is confident he can carry on where he left off in British Speedway’s top division next term.

The Aussie competed in the Sports Insure Premiership for the very first time this year with Wolverhampton – but following their closure he has now joined the Birmingham Brummies.

Cook made impressive progress as the season went on and was voted Wolves’ Rider of the Year.

And after making the switch to Perry Barr, the 24-year-old reckons he’ll be an even better competitor thanks to now having previous experience at that level.

“I knew it was going to be tough to start with and it took a bit of getting used to,” Cook said.

“I found my feet eventually and did a bit more than I was expecting to so I was happy with that.

“There are no easy races in that league – but that’s a good thing.

“It’s a strong league and there’s only one way to get better and that’s challenging yourself every race.”
