Global motorsport network MAVTV is the new home of the FIM Speedway World Championships in the United States after joining forces with global promoter Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Sports Europe to become an official broadcast partner for the next three seasons.

MAVTV, the world’s premier media platform for passion-fuelled motorsports, powersports and automotive programming, will bring US fans live coverage of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix World Championship series, kicking off its 2024 season with the FIM Speedway GP of Croatia on April 27.

Additionally, viewers can watch the 2024 FIM Speedway of Nations, the sport’s world team championship, live from Manchester, Great Britain, from July 9-13. The USA team, led by FIM North American champion Luke Becker, will be competing.

Fans will also have access to the FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship series (SGP2) and the FIM Speedway Youth World Championship (SGP3) on MAVTV. These events showcase the up-and-coming talent in speedway racing, underscoring WBD Sports and MAVTV’s dedication to supporting the next generation of stars in the sport.

FIM Speedway World Championships director Laura Manciet is pleased to join forces with MAVTV to bring the action to American viewers. She said: “Our American fans have a huge passion for the sport, and I am delighted to confirm they will be able to watch every lap of the 2024 season on MAVTV.

“As a network that covers such a wide range of motorsport, MAVTV is the ideal platform to bring FIM Speedway to viewers who may not have experienced the sport before, as well as introducing our loyal fans to MAVTV’s extensive range of live action and motorsport documentaries.

“The USA has an incredible history in Speedway GP, and the future looks bright with Luke Becker showing good speed when he made his Speedway GP debut in Torun last September. We look forward to bringing the 2024 season to MAVTV viewers from April.”

American four-time Speedway GP world champion Greg Hancock is pleased to see live FIM Speedway action available to US fans for the three coming seasons.

He said: “I know there is always real interest among our American fans in watching the racing live, so it’s great to welcome MAVTV on board.

“I’m sure fans back in the States will be keen to follow the USA team’s progress in Manchester from July 9-13 as they chase their first FIM SON Final appearance. I hope everyone watching from back home enjoys the racing on MAVTV!”

Offering an unparalleled line-up of exclusive and live racing and documentaries, MAVTV explores the people, vehicles, races, and places within global motorsports from stock cars, rally and drag racing to late model dirt, Trans Am, sprint, superbike and enduro, and everything in between.
