The Plymouth Gladiators have begun their team building by announcing the signings of Alfie Bowtell and Joe Thompson as they look to make a push for Championship honours in 2025.
Bowtell is no stranger to the Devon crowd, having ridden for the side in 2021, 2022 and 2024, and will be a popular returnee to the team, having recorded an average of over 5 points a meeting last year.
Thompson, who was part of this year’s team alongside his brother Dan, posted some great scores from the reserve berth around the tricky Coliseum circuit and will likely be in the main body of the team.
Joe’s brother Dan has already stated he won’t be racing for Plymouth in 2025, so it will be Joe’s chance to emerge and push for a heat leader spot as his brother did this year.
The Gladiators finished 8th in the 9 team Championship last year, but injuries hit them hard in what could have been a team in contention of qualifying for the play offs.
More Plymouth signings are expected to be announced soon.
