Registrations are now open for the 2025 FIM Women’s Speedway Academy (WSA) and FIM Women’s Speedway Gold Trophy (WSGT) that are scheduled to be held in the Stadion Milenium in Donji Kraljevec, Croatia, on 10-12 July.
Organised by the FIM Women’s Commission (CFM), the FIM Track Racing Commission (CCP) and the team behind FIM Speedway Grand Prix fixtures at the venue, both events will be supported by German energy and electrical engineering specialist HKC Koopmann, Italian wheel producer Kineo and Turkish tyre manufacturer Anlas.
Created to promote gender inclusivity in the sport, next year’s annual WSA runs from 10-11 July and will build upon the success of its three previous editions. Following this year’s ground-breaking inaugural event won by German star Celina Liebmann, the WSGT will be staged on 12 July.
The WSA was first staged at Diedenbergen in Germany in 2022 followed by editions at the National Speedway Stadium in Great Britain in 2023 and earlier this year at Teterow in Germany. Those in attendance have benefited from masterclasses in all aspects of the sport from top riders including former FIM Speedway Grand Prix World Champions Jason Crump and Greg Hancock, FIM Speedway Grand Prix Race Director Phil Morris and FIM Long Track race director Glen Phillips.
Riders from all motorcycling disciplines are invited to register to the Academy so prior Speedway experience is not necessary and registrations are already being received from around the world. Riders aged thirteen and above will use 250cc machines and those aged sixteen and over will use 500cc machines.

It is an initiative that I find incredibly exciting and we are already seeing very positive results with women enjoying a raised profile as Speedway becomes more and more inclusive.”

I am confident it will continue to prosper and that next year in Croatia will build on the success of its three previous editions.”
