After a challenging few weeks, Jamie Courtney is delighted to confirm that following extensive negotiations, the longโterm future of Oxford Speedway at the BetGoodwin Oxford Stadium is secured.
Bringing fresh investment, stability and deepโrooted passion Spencer Timmo and Mike Austin join and strengthen the promotional team. Both have been major sponsors since 2022 and are already a huge part of Oxfordโs success story. โBringing in two new investors was vital,โ says Jamie โ โand with Spencer and Mike being local, committed and fully behind the club, the future looks exciting.โ Subject to BSPL approval, Mike will become coโpromoter alongside Jamie.
Thereโs more good news! After constructive discussions, Unipart has agreed a longโterm arrangement that restores raceโnight parking. Jamie added โI would like to personally thank Unipart for their understanding and cooperation.โ
On track, the positivity continues. Team manager Peter Schroeck has confirmed that Erik Riss is making great progress and is aiming to make his racing return after illness imminently. โThat really was the icing on the cake,โ Jamie said. โHearing Erik will be back in the side soon means weโll have that real feelโgood factor back again after an unsettling spell.โ
Tickets for next weekโs fixture on Wednesday 13 May will be on sale TOMORROW!
