Norick Blodorn lands 2026 Speedway GP of Germany wildcard

German SON2 world champion Norick Blodorn tests himself against the best riders in the world, when he lines up in the WWK FIM Speedway GP of Germany – Landshut on Saturday, May 2.

Blodorn competes in the famous No.16 race jacket on Germany’s biggest speedway weekend, just months after leading his country to their first-ever world team title at FIM Speedway of Nations – SON2 in Torun, Poland on October 3.

The charismatic star from Neumunster in Schleswig-Holstein joined forces with Bavarian-born racer Mario Hausl and FIM Women’s Speedway Gold Trophy winner Hannah Grunwald to achieve that historic victory.

And the former SGP2 rider will be hopeful of helping Germany’s senior side reach this year’s BOLL FIM Speedway World Cup Final, when they take on Great Britain, Czech Republic and Ukraine in WWK FIM Speedway World Cup Semi-Final 1 on Friday, May 1.

The winners advance to Warsaw to join hosts Poland, 2025 FIM Speedway of Nations world champions Australia and the winner of 11.lv FIM SWC Semi-Final 2, which takes place in Riga on August 7, featuring hosts Latvia, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

Blodorn is joined in the WWK FIM German Speedway GP by track reserves Kevin Wolbert and Valentin Grobauer, who wear the No.17 and No.18 race jackets respectively.
