Danish international Frederik Jakobsen has been confirmed as wild card for the Deluxe Homeart FIM Speedway GP of Denmark – Vojens on Saturday, September 12.
Jakobsen secured a spot in Denmark’s most exciting motorsport event after finishing second to Speedway GP star Leon Madsen at the Danish Championship Final in Esbjerg on Wednesday night.
With Madsen’s spot in Vojens already guaranteed alongside his SGP rival Michael Jepsen Jensen, Jakobsen was handed the wild card – offered to the highest-placed non-Speedway GP rider in the Danish Final.
This will be Jakobsen’s Speedway GP debut after he served as a non-riding track reserve in the 2021 and 2024 SGP rounds at Vojens.
Jakobsen races for Danish Speedwayligaen club Fjelsted, as well as competing for Vargarna in Sweden’s Bauhaus Elitserien and Ostrow in Poland’s Metalkas 2. Ekstraliga.
The track reserves for the Vojens event will be confirmed in due course.
There will also be racing on Friday, September 11 at Vojens Speedway Center as the FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship reaches its climax with the Deluxe Homeart FIM SGP2 of Denmark – Vojens.
Tickets for the Vojens weekend are available online HERE now.
