Jason Doyle aims to retain Peter Craven Memorial title

REIGNING Peter Craven Memorial Champion Jason Doyle is going for another historic victory when he takes to the shale at the National Speedway Stadium on March 18.

The 2017 World Speedway Champion dominated the podium from 2018 to 2020 and made club history after clinching his fourth win in last year’s meeting, a feat never seen in the event’s 57-year history.

Now, he is targeting top spot for the fifth time in his bid to retain his title amongst a field of racers who are each vying to ensure that doesn’t happen.

Already confirmed for Belle Vue’s season opener are international stars Dan Bewley, Fredrik Lindgren, Max Fricke and Luke Becker, with further big announcements imminent.

Belle Vue CEO Mark Lemon said: “The field for the 2024 Peter Craven Memorial is starting to come together, so it’s only natural to invite the meeting’s reigning champion.

“Doyley [Jason Doyle] is more than just a class act. He is a former world champion who, in the last decade has stood atop the podium in this event more than any rider in history.

“His affinity for this race track is no secret, and I don’t doubt he will be amongst the favourites for the win this year, but he will have his work cut out for him.

“We’re now less than a month away from commencing the Speedway season in Manchester and supporters can look forward to further rider announcements in the coming days.”

Tickets for the 2024 Peter Craven Memorial are now available to book online via our official online portal at BELLEVUE-SPEEDWAY.COM/EVENTS.

And, Race Day Hospitality is also available to reserve for this event, with a two-course dinner of Cottage Pie plus a delicious dessert available to book.
