Three Brits gunning for FIM European Under 19 Speedway Championship glory in Germany!

GREAT Britain have three representatives in Thursday’s FIM European Under-19 Speedway Final at German venue Herxheim.

Scunthorpe’s Luke Harrison and Oxford’s Luke Killeen had already qualified for the meeting whilst Ashton Boughen, also of Oxford, now steps up from reserve after the withdrawal of Danish rider William Drejer due to a collarbone injury.

GB Youth boss Neil Vatcher said: “I am delighted that we have three representatives in this European Final and it shows the progression of our young British riders that Poland aside, Great Britian along with Denmark have the second-highest number of riders in the Final.

“All three riders deserve to be part of this special occasion as the semi-finals were extremely difficult meetings to qualify from, and both Lukes and Ashton rode fantastic to even get to this point.

“With Poland having five representatives, including the newly crowned SGP2 World Champion Wiktor Przyjemski, this Final is a really strong event which also includes Ukraine’s SGP2 runner-up Nazar Parnitskyi.”

The Young Lions would like to thank their British Youth sponsors for the supply of tyres to all three riders for this event.
