Workington Speedway launch "Kids Go Free" initiative for 2026

Workington Speedway are delighted to confirm the launch of a ‘Kids Go Free for 2026’ community campaign, in association with three fantastic local companies – Forth Engineering, First Image Signs and MCS Plant Hire.

The campaign will see young supporters aged 0 to 15 admitted free of charge throughout the 2026 season, when accompanied by a paying adult.

We firmly believe that young fans are the future of British speedway and are essential to the sport’s long-term survival. By making it easier and more affordable for families to attend meetings, the club hopes to inspire the next generation of fans to support the GT Tyres Comets.

The club believes this is absolutely the right thing to do and an important step in helping secure the long-term future of the sport.

Workington Comets would also like to place on record their sincere thanks to their kind and valued sponsors, Forth Engineering, First Image Signs and MCS Plant Hire for their support has in making this campaign possible.

Workington Speedway promoter Andrew Bain said:

“We feel very strongly about this as a club. Young fans are the future of our club and British Speedway, and we want to give more families the chance to experience the excitement of live racing at the GT Tyres Arena.”

“I’d also like to personally thank Forth Engineering, First Image Signs and MCS Plant Hire for their support in helping make this campaign possible.”
