NICOLAI Klindt thanked everyone involved in organising, competing and attending his Testimonial meeting at King’s Lynn on Sunday.
The weather did its very best to affect proceedings and forced a slight curtailment to the schedule, but the 16-heat Four Team Tournament did take place along with Young Lions demo races.
As expected, the sides proved closely matched, with Wolverhampton tying with Poole on 26 points despite the withdrawal of Fredrik Lindgren due to family reasons.
The scores were levelled in a battle on the last lap of the final race as Jacob Thorssell contested third place with Brady Kurtz in slippery conditions, with the Swede repassing the World No.2 off the last bend.
The Individual competition could not be run due to the weather but Tom Brennan was declared the winner on countback after both he and Ryan Douglas scored ten points.
Klindt said: “I have to thank the boys for showing up and putting on a great show, even when the conditions weren’t the best.
“Thanks to Buster (Chapman), Luke and Paul at the stadium and everyone at the stadium who worked hard through the night and in the early morning.
“I was there at 9am in blue skies and sunshine, I knew there was a possibility of rain, and I’m pleased and appreciate everyone who was there along with the viewers of the stream at home.
“I want to thank my committee, my friends, family and sponsors, everyone who has supported the meeting with products or packages. They all know who they are, and I really appreciate it.”
