BELLE VUE will stage the British Final on Saturday August 15 (7pm) as the country’s top stars battle for the prestigious national crown.
A weekend date has been secured for the showpiece event, which reached an incredible climax last season in one of the all-time great speedway races.
Robert Lambert was crowned champion for the second time after a sensational battle with Charles Wright, Dan Bewley and Chris Harris, with all four riders in contention for the win on the last lap.
Tickets will be on sale in April, and the line-up will be confirmed following the semi-final which takes place at Leicester on Sunday June 21 (3pm).
Aces CEO Mark Lemon said: “This will be our eleventh successive staging of the event, and we’re proud that the National Speedway Stadium is the established home of the British Final.
“Nobody who was here for the meeting last year will ever forget the incredible race which decided the title, and this is the sort of action which our track can generate on a regular basis.
“It’s also pleasing to be able to secure a Saturday date for the meeting as I know that was very popular the last time we were able to run at the weekend two years ago.”
The semi-final is at the Hydroscand Arena, Beaumont Park for the second year in succession, with 2026 Lions racer Dan Thompson having triumphed in the meeting last May.
Co-promoter Jen Crossland said: “The meeting was a success last season and we are pleased to have been asked to host it again by British Speedway Promoters Ltd.
“We were always keen to be able to utilise a weekend date and a Sunday afternoon should fit in well with the rest of the calendar.”
With the FIM ATPI Speedway Grand Prix of Manchester taking place before the British Final (June 5/6), proposals for the Wild Card and Track Reserve positions in the SGP will be made by the BSPL Board of Directors to the Speedway Control Bureau.
Final approval and nominations will be made by the SGP commission and communicated in the lead-up to the event.
