Steve Worrall becomes the third Birmingham Brummies signing!

FORMER Great Britain international Steve Worrall is the third name on the Birmingham Brummies team sheet for 2024.

The 32-year-old has spent the past two seasons with Wolverhampton but now makes the short switch to Perry Barr in the top flight.

He became a firm fans’ favourite during his time at Monmore Green and was also this year’s British GP Wild Card at Cardiff having finished runner-up in the National Championship Final.

He joins former fellow Wolf Leon Flint and former Belle Vue team-mate Tom Brennan in the Curtis Sport Brummies side and CEO Nigel Tolley feels Worrall could be in for another solid season.

“Since joining Wolverhampton, Stevie’s stock has risen even further in my opinion,” Tolley said.

Despite riding at No.2 for the majority of his time alongside Sam Masters, he was regularly providing race wins, regularly playing his part in heat advantages in important moments and he was a reliable points scorer.

“He lives and breathes Speedway and he’s very passionate and professional when it comes to his racing.

“He brings with him a lot of experience and from what I’ve seen from my trips to Wolverhampton, he’ll also be a fantastic team player both on the track as well as back in the pits.”
